Next Meeting
This Sunday, 10th September at 3.45pm at Acton Baptist Church

Neil writes,
Welcome and blessings for our new Community Year.
We are planning an extraordinary few months, with our Community Meetings continuing to be focused on outreach as well as our relationship with Christ.
We will be gathering on Sunday 13th September at 3.45 pm at Acton Baptist Church with some Cakes and Bakes (please!), then begin worship at 4 pm, with our main presentations starting about 4.30 pm, running until about 5.30 pm.
We will begin by presenting a 20 min video on Safeguarding Children and Adults in our Community, given by Hugh and Paola.
Before anything else, we must keep each other safe from harm.
We will then explain further our plans for the next 6 months (which are quite exciting!)
We begin our year together “in one place” (Acts 2:1) with our Community Anniversary Weekend (CAWE) residential at the Frontier Centre, Addington Road, Irthlingborough, Northants, NN9 5UH from 9am on Saturday 19th September.
Please do arrive promptly.
We will provide further details to those attending.
If you want to come and have not confirmed, please contact andre@antioch.org.uk urgently, and we will try to help get you there.
On Sunday 4th October, we begin two Pathways of teaching and discussion, using the two halls of Acton Baptist Church and All Saints Hillingdon (on the 29th November).
We will begin with a time of worship together, then split up into two Pathways.
Pathway One is “Come to Me”, referring to Jesus calling, “Let the little Children come to me and do not hinder them” in Luke 18:16. This will focus on parenting early and primary school children as Christian families in a Christian community.
We are basing this series on Parent Talk by Care for the Family.
We will be sending out more details next week, and please do invite Christian friends who may wish to come to a Christian parenting course.
Pathway Two is “Follow Me”, based on the teaching of Jesus to his disciples in John 12:24-26, and will explore different “follow me” topics, such as “Believe in Me” and “Talk to Me”, which will be given by different ones of us, followed by discussion.
We will also send out more details next week, and please do invite Christian friends to these meetings as well to learn more about “Follow Me”.
In the middle of these Pathways, we will take time to honour Trevor Perry, our recently departed dear brother, on Sunday 1st November, All Saints Day, followed by food and fireworks at 14 Rosemont Road.
On Sunday 24th January, we will begin a Life in the Spirit Seminar.
This is a tremendous opportunity to invite non-Christian friends to hear about Christ and his gift of the Holy Spirit. We plan to advertise this more widely, but personal invitations are always the most powerful.
All of this will only succeed if we are willing and pray.
Please consider taking more time in your week to pray specifically for these meetings, and for your friends to come, in your personal times of prayer and in small groups.
I will send out more details shortly.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)
“Seek the LORD and his Strength: seek his presence continually.” (Ps 105:4)
And,
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” (Heb 10:24)
Whatsapp Community: We shall continue to offer the option of joining our Antioch Whatsapp community for our guests to see our running announcements. Please do share via the link below:

André writes,
It's almost here! Our Community Away Weekend (CAWE) takes place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September at the Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough. It will be a wonderful weekend of worship, teaching, prayer and plenty of time to be together as a community.
Saturday will include our main session on “Sower, Seeds, Soil and Treasure” (Matthew 13), time for reflection and discussion, afternoon activities and free time, our Lord’s Day celebration dinner and evening entertainment.
On Sunday morning we will celebrate Catholic Mass and a Protestant/Anglican Service, followed by worship, prayer and ministry together before lunch and departure. There will also be dedicated programmes for children and young people during the weekend, as well as plenty of time for families and friends to relax and enjoy being together.
Please aim to arrive at the Frontier Centre at around 9am on Saturday.
I will send out more practical information about the weekend early next week, so please be on the lookout! :)
Lift allocations have already been circulated, but if you have any questions, need help with your lift, or spot any problems with the arrangements, please contact me, André (andre@antioch.org.uk / 07832257141).
We also have a room plan ready. If you have any questions do let me know.

• Pray for our King and Government, for wise decisions and stable leadership in these disturbing times. Pray that plans for laws for Assisted Suicide and banning “Conversion Therapy” will fail and that Parliament will focus time on what is righteous and for the common good.

The Common Light
Thank You for Supporting Koinonia's
"The Common Light" Exhibition Fundraiser!
[Sunday 6th September 2026]
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to The Common Light exhibition last Sunday, and to everyone who bought artwork, donated, helped set up, brought friends, served refreshments or simply came to support the day. Maria Masood curated the exhibition excellently, sourcing works from Koinonia students, staff, community members and YPO attendees.
During the exhibition, London Christian Film Society showed their documentary "This Missionary Life" on the Koinonia mission over the past 6 months.
Together we raised £1,860 for Koinonia’s student mission , an extraordinary result from a single afternoon, which will go directly towards supporting our work with students over the coming year.
We are especially grateful to the artists who so generously donated their work (Ros Yates, Cai Santos, and too many more to list), and to everyone who gave their time and energy to turn an ordinary house into an art gallery for the day. It was lovely to see so many members of community there, alongside friends, other artists and new faces. Thank you for getting behind Koinonia. Special thanks to God for answering our prayers!
