Sunday 4th October – Community Meeting – 3:45pm at Acton Baptist Church
Our new term of Pathways is about to begin!
We will start this Sunday with worship together before splitting into our two pathways: Come to Me, our Christian parenting course for families with early and primary school children, and Follow Me, our discipleship series exploring different aspects of following Jesus.
Come to Me will be based on Parent Talk by Care for the Family, with plenty of opportunity to share, discuss and encourage one another in raising our children in Christ and in Christian community. Hugh will lead this first session.
Follow Me will hear from different members of Antioch on different aspects of discipleship, followed by time for discussion together. Karl will lead this first session, focussed on trusting in Jesus as we deepen our relationship with God.
Both Pathways are open to Christian friends outside Antioch, so do think about who you might invite to join us this term.
In the middle of the series, on Sunday 1st November, All Saints Day, we will take time together to honour our dear brother Trevor Perry, followed by food and fireworks at 14 Rosemont Road.
And looking further ahead, our Life in the Spirit Seminar begins on Sunday 24th January. Please begin praying now about who you might personally invite to come and hear the Gospel and experience anew the life of the Holy Spirit.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)
“Seek the LORD and his Strength: seek his presence continually.” (Ps 105:4)
Whatsapp Community: We shall continue to offer the option of joining our Antioch Whatsapp community for our guests to see our running announcements. Please do share via the link below:

• Pray for the brothers and sisters in the wider Middle East, in Lebanon, Haifa and in Kuwait, for peace and protection from harm.
• Pray for our King and Government, for wise decisions and stable leadership in these disturbing times. Thank God that the Assisted Suicide bill has failed and that Parliament will focus time on what is righteous and for the common good.
Prayers for Consolation and Healing
• For Ralph and Mary.
• For Maddy and Ian Bird. Pray that Maddy can have increased energy and cognition and is able to continue her roles in Bless Community Church.

• Pray for Rebecca Delargy, that God heals her and brings grace for all her love and service.
• For Jean Everington (John’s mum) and for her care, that her life in her flat is peaceful. Pray for wisdom and strength for John and Deborah as they help look after Jean in this new phase of life.
• Pray for Mercy Potter and the Feldbrugge family with the sudden death of her sister Eva, that God will pour out his grace and comfort.
• For Stevie McGill, that God continues to heal him. Pray for continued grace for Elaine and the family as they care for Stevie and that God provides what they need.
• For Monette delos Santos, Emzo’s mum, that she can travel and return safely to the Philippines and that her operation will go well.
• For Holy Spirit energy for Ken Noecker and Des Dick in their continued service in Christ and for complete healing.
Prayers for Those in Need and for Protection
• For Elizabeth Flynn, and that her house sale stresses are eased by the Lord's providence and presence.
• For Luca, and his last court hearing on the 15th September for his business in Italy, that the Lord deliver truth and justice for him and his colleagues through the process.
• For Teen's dad Teofilo Estero Jr: for his wellbeing, for guidance as he discerns which course to take regarding his health issues. Also for Teen and the entire family – for grace, providence, strength and courage in this season.
• For those amongst us struggling with their jobs, looking for new jobs, and finding difficulty with finances, that God swiftly provides.

Prayers for Growth

• Pray God continues to send new folks to us, and they really experience his presence and wisdom amongst us.
• Pray for Daniele and Raja Baz, Deborah Everington, Stephen Bick and Karl Codouni as they continue being Leaders in Training.
• For our wider Leadership Development Team, may God continue to encourage them as they seek to learn and serve.
Prayers for the Gospel Mission
• For our local churches, ministers, priests and pastors. Continue to ask God to call a new faith-filled pastor for Acton Baptist Church.
• For Koinonia, for Koi Staff and students and all their plans for the new term, especially for a presence on the Imperial College campus. Pray for miraculous encounters and n
ew relationships in the first few weeks of term.
• For YPO, for a new start and a new team as they gather back from the Summer.
• For our preparation for the Life in the Spirit Seminar in January to March 2027, and for our “Five in Focus” - five people that God places on our hearts to pray for and invite to this, so they can hear or re-hear the Gospel and receive or renew the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and new vibrant life in Christ.
“Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
(Romans 8:26-28)

Freshers' Week
Thank You for Your Prayers for Koinonia
We have had an encouraging first Freshers' week with the university students in central London. We gave away coffees, engaged them in keepy-up, different little games to have fun with, and ended with a lovely worship night, supported by some kind Christian guests. Please keep praying, and never stop thanking God for all he does in our lives.
God Bless,
Koinonia team
