Most recent requests
- For Colette Rowland, Tony, her husband and all the family, as she is in the terminal stages of bone cancer. She has stopped all treatment and is comfortable and peaceful.
- For Gerhard's younger brother who is about to undergo major knee surgery.
Prayers for his knee and particularly for his state of mind would be most appreciated

We are getting frequent updates about Colette and will try to publish them here. See the note at the bottom of this page if you do not know Colette.
This note is dated 22nd June, from Colette's daughter Valerie.
Hello my dear friends,
Thank you for all your continued prayers. I just returned from Kalamazoo, where my mom is, and where we were all summoned late Saturday night. Most of my family was assembled there til this afternoon, just being with my mom and each other, taking shifts around the clock with her, taking naps all over every room of my sister's house. It was actually a very blessed, and even fun family time together. We were able to do a lot of laughing, some crying, some memory sharing, and just generally enjoying our special time. At one time, my mom, who was mostly out of it under morphine and general decline, became pretty alert, and we all crammed around her bed, (including many of her grandkids) and talked to her, sang to her, and said a rosary. Her facial expressions confirmed that she knew we were there, we even got a chuckle and a few winks out of her.
She lingers still, but I came home to be with my own Colette for her 11th birthday today. I don't know if I will get to be with my mom at the moment of her death, much as I would like to, but would, for her sake, love for her to go with Jesus soon. We have all, numerous times, assured her that it's ok to go, and I have said my goodbyes.
My dad is just amazing. Whenever she opens her eyes, he speaks gently and closely to her face that she can go, be with Jesus, see her loved ones, and meet his mother for the first time, He assures her that her work is done, and all is well. I am so moved at his love for her. This morning he lead us all in singing the Divine Mercy Chaplet to her, which she loves. Now we await God's perfect timing.
Thanks again for your prayers and support. They are deeply felt. Please especially keep my dad in your continued prayers.
Love,
Valerie

A note on Colette Rowland by Tony Laureys, Senior Coordinator of the Jerusalem Community in Belgium
Together with their children I would like to ask you to keep Colette and Tony Rowland in your prayers.
Tony and Colette came to Belgium in 1977 to help form our community which was called at the time ‘The Word of God – Belgium’. They were the first leaders and had a big impact, not only on our community, but on many brothers and sisters personally. In 1980 they left for London to help found a community there, which later became Antioch. In 1984 they went back to the United States.
Colette was diagnosed with bone cancer in February 2010 giving her 4-6 months to live. As you might expect when you have known Colette, she is not one to take anything lying down and she has been fighting hard both physically & mentally. That being said the cancer is progressing and her condition continues to deteriorate. Their children truly feel that she will pass on to her place in Gods House very soon.
Colette has prepared herself for this and has expressed that she is eager to get through this and move on. She has touched many lives over the years and her children asked me to contact all those who knew her well so that we can be united in prayer.
Let us pray for her husband Tony as well, he has devoted much of his time and energy caring for his wife and is taking this with difficulty.
Your support and prayers are much appreciated by the family. For those who have known Tony & Colette we send you an email address: arowlandmaj@gmail.com
